The Pets

I have two puppies. I thought I would put a page for them here so everyone can get an idea of what they look like and their personalities (just in case I write something about them.)

She’s a six year old, Australian Shepherd mix. We got her from the Boulder Humane Society when she was only 3 months and have loved her ever since. She’s cunning and slightly manipulative. She knows who will spoil her and she plays it up. She always has to ride shot gun and is pretty convinced she’s human. She has us almost convinced of the same. I miss her everyday she isn’t with me. But I couldn’t take her from CO. She loves it there too much.

This is Ester. She’s a five year old German Shepherd mix (if you can’t already tell from the picture.) She was actually raised in a little pack in the mountains. She was a little fearful of everything at first. But now she’s a bundle of joy for us. She loves drinking water out of her plastic pool and can entertain herself (and in turn us) for hours. She also doesn’t quite understand how large she is. I am reminded of this fact every time I return home to CO.

[Picture coming soon!]
She is a yellow belly slider. I first got her September 2014 from my aunt. She was slightly larger than a 50 cent piece and has definitely grown since then. She is the eater of the family. She lives with me in DC.

He is a map turtle and a super skittish one at that. He definitely dives and hides. But when he thinks you aren’t looking, he will bask for hours at a time. He’s much smaller than Donatello despite starting at the same size. He also keeps me company in the big city.
